Carbon Laser facial Treatment

Carbon Laser Facial is suitable for men and women of all ages. It assists people with pigmentation, acne, wrinkles and fine lines, dull or poor skin tone, large pores, age spots and dark spots, helps achieve a porcelain doll complexion and helps to lessen the premature signs of ageing.  It also lifts and tightens/firms skin, improves elasticity, moisturises and gives a bright and dewy complexion.

Prior to starting the laser treatment, a specifically designed carbon lotion is applied to the skin and allowed to dry over a period of 10 minutes. The laser is then used to heat and cause an implosion of the carbon particles. The laser light is absorbed by the carbon paste focusing the laser energy directly onto the epidermis. As the laser moves across the skin the carbon paste is gently vacuumed up, exfoliating the skin and removing any debris in the pores. The treatment minimizes pore sizes and the thermal effect of the laser beam stimulates collagen and skin cell renewal. Regeneration occurs by encouraging growth of collagen and the elastic fibres.

Carbon Laser Facial has been described as feeling warm or prickly, but not painful, and assists in leaving the skin looking clear and glowing. It is sometimes described as a pins and needles sensation. A minor laser sound is heard as the carbon particles are targeted by the laser and the light energy is absorbed by the carbon particles. If at any point you feel any discomfort we can engage our Pain Management machine to minimize all sensitivity.

Carbon Laser Facial is non-invasive and you can return to normal activities straight after your treatment.  You will need to ensure that you use SPF 30+ sunblock for any outdoor activities.

Please allow one hour for your appointment and where possible arrive 5 minutes prior to your allocated appointment time in order for you to fill in all the necessary paperwork.

On the day of your treatment you will need to remove any make-up or moisturizers.  A visible difference should be noticed with just one individual treatment however a course of six treatments is recommended.

As each client is different it is not possible to completely predict how many treatments you will need, but on average we recommend a full course of six treatments to achieve ideal results. We suggest treatments to be spaced with a 7-10 day interval between each treatment for maximum results.

The skin can appear slightly red after treatment but that usually disappears within a few hours.  Some clients may experience skin dryness after treatment, so a good moisturiser should be applied on the face to hydrate the skin. Exfoliating or skin peels should be avoided post treatment. Direct sun exposure should be avoided.

Your skin will turn slightly pink, feel warm from the inside to outer surface (some parts on the face are more sensitive, so may feel warmer and more intense – this is normal).  A feeling of skin tightening can be experienced. Any feeling of warmth will generally dissipate within 30 minutes to 2 hours, after treatment. You can return to normal activities immediately. Makeup and Sunscreen can be applied immediately post treatment.  Results can be improved by minimal sun exposure, not smoking and keeping stress to a minimum. The longevity of the effects from the treatment is determined by the skin condition, skin type and your lifestyle.
